Quest Outreach Society is looking for its newest member of the Distribution and Logistics Team: Warehouse & Quality Assurance Associate. This role will assist and ensure product is received, documented, and redistributed to each of our Markets within the Lower Mainland. This is full-time with benefits. Almost all of Quest’s food is donated by local food partners from across British Columbia and delivered across our five Lower Mainland markets at reduced cost to our client communities. Quest’s five grocery markets are located in Burnaby, Surrey, North Vancouver, East Vancouver, and the Downtown Eastside.
Key Responsibilities:
The Warehouse & Quality Assurance Associate reports to the Director of Food Logistics in all aspects of warehouse operations and works out of the Distribution Centre located at 2020 Dundas Ave. In this role you will help support the application of the organization’s guiding operating principles:

Receive & Inspect Product:
Document and unpack vendor donations
Record amount of inbound product received
Ensure products and price are entered into inventory management software
Inspect and record all best before and expiration dates on all incoming product
Inspect and remove all produce/product that isn’t viability before distribution to grocery markets
Ensure products are stored in a safe and efficient manner
Ensure products are safely loaded and unloaded
Remain compliant with all applicable security, health, and safety procedures
Distribution:
Assist and build pallets for distribution to Grocery Market locations
Help keep Distribution Centre clean and tidy
Other Tasks/Assignments:
Engage in special projects as needed
Other tasks as related to distribution, warehouse, and delivery as required and directed
Required Skills & Experience:
2-4 years experience as a Warehouse Associate
Ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly up to 25
Ability to absorb instructions and complete tasks efficiently
Goal and deadline oriented
Must be observant, detail oriented, and understand food products
Team player with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Excellent organization and time management skills with analytical and decision making abilities
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel
A willingness to learn new software programs
Ability to work well under pressure and with tight timelines
Excellent internal customer service skills
Nice-to-Have-But-Not-Required:
Knowledge of LBOS and LPOS
Pallet Jack Certification
Food Safe Certificate Level 1
Standard First Aid
Compensation & Commitment
This is a full-time position with Quest. The hourly wage range proposed for this role is between $20 – $24 depending on previous experience and qualifications and includes a competitive benefits package and two weeks paid vacation. This position is based at Quest Head Office, 2020 Dundas Street in Vancouver, BC.
