Quest works with food producers, farmers, distributors, retailers and restaurants to recover surplus food and make it available at significantly reduced prices through our non-profit grocery markets across Metro Vancouver.

By donating food to Quest, your business helps reduce food waste while providing individuals and families with access to affordable groceries, dignity and choice.

What Food Can You Donate?

We welcome donations of quality surplus food, including short-dated, overstocked and other products that cannot be sold through traditional retail channels.

Food donations may include:

• Fresh produce
• Dairy products, meat, fish and frozen foods
• Dry goods, rice, grains and cooking oils
• Canned and packaged foods
• Baby food and formula

Bulk Food Donations

Quest also accepts bulk food products. With the support of our volunteers, our Repack Program repackages bulk donations into smaller, affordable retail sizes for our markets.

We can arrange pickup of eligible food donations within two business days.

Learn about tax receipts for food donations

Tax receipts are issued within 30 days of receiving eligible food donations at our distribution centre, provided a donated product invoice accompanies the shipment.
