Tis’ the Season of Giving

“I started coming to Quest with my partner – first I heard of the place. I really appreciate the sense of empowerment from being able to purchase good organic food and other products rather than simply being given parcels of food.” – Jason, Quest Food Client

We can’t believe it’s December already! Another year has gone by in a blink. Still, it has been a fantastic year, and we really couldn’t have done it without our dedicated donors, food partners, volunteers and enthusiastic supporters. We want to take a moment to say thank you, and we appreciate all of your help. Our remarkable staff and board could not have achieved their mission for food security without your generosity.

From launching a new grocery market in Vancouver to dealing with rising economic prices to creating food hampers for families this holiday season, Quest has successfully helped over 4000 clients throughout 2023.

Help disrupt the cycle of poverty!

Quest summed up

Quest Outreach Society exists to disrupt the cycle of poverty through access to healthy and affordable food that is sourced sustainably. We are a leader in redistribution, we work to actively redirect healthy, good food that would otherwise end up in the landfill and contribute to greenhouse gas emissions. Almost all of Quest’s food is donated by local food partners from across British Columbia.

Still time to donate!

“I want to thank you so much for this store. I am an old age pension and making it through the month is very difficult. The variety is getting better all the time and I appreciate being able to buy fresh produce.” Patricia, Quest client.

Although another year is wrapping up, there’s still time to donate your year-end to our organization. It is an essential time of year for us, and we rely on the spirit of giving to drive our mission forward and positively impact our communities.

We have six donation options, and your donation ensures Quest clients can come to any of our five Quest markets as often as they want and purchase as much as they need, all within a safe and dignity-filled grocery market.

We understand that it may be difficult for some to donate but if you have some extra means to give, please consider donating to Quest.

Quest Outreach Society will know its work is done when access to food, regardless of income or identity, is universal. Thank you for supporting our mission, and we look forward to continuing our work in the New Year!
