For decades, Michael brought joy to audiences across Canada as a professional magician. From performing up to 11 shows a week to a guest spot on Mr. Dressup, his career was defined by a passion for his craft. Today, while he still performs occasionally, Michael’s daily life involves a different kind of magic: navigating retirement on a very tight budget.
Living alone for the past three years has made the tasks of food shopping, cooking, and storage significantly harder for Michael. - Accessibility: With four markets in Metro Vancouver that open six days a week, Michael can shop at Quest daily and easily reach our Hastings and Dundas markets without a car
Michael is a vibrant member of our community who loves movies and ballroom dancing. He’s been busy preparing for a show at ‘Pizza Coming Soon’ and even figured out how to make a pizza appear ‘out of thin air’ for his act. With living costs continuing to rise, seniors like Michael are increasingly relying on magic to make food appear on their table – the magic of generosity.
