Just in time for World Food Day, 2025, we’re thrilled to share this year’s results from our annual Client and Referring Partner Surveys!
Every year, we survey our 700+ Referring Partners and 10,000+ Active Clients to better understand who they are, what they need in a non-profit grocery market, and the barriers they face when it comes to food security.
Clients: In June 2025, during our annual Client Appreciation Week, we heard back from clients who participated by submitting online surveys, filling out paper surveys in our markets, and responded to market posters. We then work with this feedback and apply it to market decisions, like where to focus our food acquisition efforts, pricing considerations, and other ways to improve the Quest client experience. We believe our work is never finished when it comes to building a more affordable and accessible grocery experience and we’re grateful for the feedback and direction we receive from our client communities! Highlights from the 2025 results include:
- 70% of clients rely on Quest for most of their groceries
- Most clients visit Quest at least once a week, with clients at our Hastings market primarily visiting daily
- Price is their priority, but product selection is a strong second
- Fresh protein, eggs, milk & veggies are their top product needs
Referring Partners: Each year, our Referring Partners are invited to share feedback with us through an online survey. We work to apply the feedback we receive to our referral process including accessibility, types of products we carry, and other ideas and suggestions that improve the non-profit grocery market experience. Highlights from the 2025 results include:
- Requests to provide clients with more recipes and ways of working with our grocery products
- Invitation to provide more information about product nutrition
