Women in Canada, especially single mothers, Indigenous women, visible minority women, immigrant women, and senior women, are more likely to experience poverty and face various obstacles in their daily lives, including affording healthy food options due to rising food prices.
Quest Outreach Society operates five not-for-profit grocery markets and a food distribution centre serving British Columbia’s Lower Mainland region. Quest exists to disrupt the cycle of poverty through access to healthy and affordable food that is sourced sustainably. By bridging the gap between food banks and traditional grocery stores, Quest provides a grocery experience based on principles of dignity, access, and sustainability.
