Every bit of assistance that we receive means that one less individual will go to sleep at night thinking about where the next day’s meal will come from. The backbone of Quest’s success has been all of the amazing support from the organizations below that have gone above and beyond in their assistance.
As one of Quest’s official transportation sponsors, Richmond Honda has provided financial support and services to Quest. Their staff have volunteered their time on several occasions, while their CEO, Peter Brasso, volunteers his expertise as Quest’s President.
As Quest’s official transportation sponsor, the Vancouver Airport Authority is a not-for-profit organization that is dedicated towards supporting local initiatives and building positive relationships within their community. Since 2010, YVR has donated $50,000 annually in order to keep Quest’s truck fleet running. For every truck donated, 10,000 additional clients can be serviced by Quest! In addition, YVR’s community of staff and volunteers have donated countless hours and quantities of food items towards many initiatives at Quest. This includes our yearly Christmas hamper drive, which provides a full course turkey dinner to over 500 families.
In 2009, a major milestone was struck when Quest acquired its main location at 2020 Dundas Street. The transition from being ‘just a store front’ to an Operations Centre was made possible from a $1,000,000 grant awarded by Vancity. Today, Quest is able to operate a Distribution Centre, Food Repackaging departments, and a flagship Not-For-Profit Grocery Market thanks to this generous gift. Vancity staff also go above and beyond every year by hosting fundraisers, volunteering time, and sponsoring events in support of Quest.
